My Ruger .44 Blackhawk was part of the trade........so yeah, I think I can handle it.

Now the .50 is another story.

Ooohhhhh, nice. This will shoot a 325 grain bullet at 1400 fps compared to a 44 Mag with a 240 grain bullet at 1200 fps. The DE is a major kick upstairs in the power department, right at twice the power.

Very nice. What are you going to do with it, got any bears over there?

Friend of mine bought his first pistol while back.....a .50 Desert Eagle......had to buy a prop stick with it ( like a tall bi-pod ) to get any kind of reasonable aim. I told him he could have bought TWO nice pistols AND 1000 rounds of ammo for the price of that monster.

As a collector item, I guess they are interesting...as a tool, they are a nice collector item :D

My sentiments exactly Andy. I bought a S&W model 500 .50 cal magnum on a whim. I really wish I would have gotten a nice sniper rifle/scope combo instead. But, that's the nice thing about guns, you can never have enough of them, and you have to own at least one that's a showpiece. I always wanted a Desert Eagle as well. AD, are they still producing that model? 44 Auto Mag is another in this category. Those are worth some bucks if anyone was lucky enough to pick one up when they were for sale. I figure WTSHTF, If I wear that 10-1/2" 50 cal, anyone who happens to intrude on my property will assume I'm at least serious, and probably crazy!

I once rented one of those. Friggen to much gun, unless you can loan/rent it out to an action movie production.

My understanding is that it's just a BIG HEAVY 44 Magnum. You can get a box of shell's for about 30 bones these days. With their heavier frame you can shoot the heavier loads but recoil should be pretty manageable as long as you can get your hand around the thing.

Nice video. I'm 6'5", 370+ and I think a 50 cal handgun is a bit much. Hell, that desert eagle 44 would be impractical for daily carry. Probably fun at the range, though.

Not a practical gun in my opinion. To big to conceal, needs full power loads to function reliably, and expensive by auto standards. Plus it's just to damn big to lug around for a pistol.
To each his own I guess.
